Anna Stallone's solo exhibition, If I Were a Cat, draws inspiration from the Buddhist philosophy of reincarnation. 

The exhibition presents hand-sewn soft sculptures that depict the journey of our spirits before and after life. The cotton fabrics used in the sculptures are dyed with plant-based and bengara paints. These soft sculptures are created from natural materials that can be composted at the end of their life, returning to nature.

The project is an exciting journey through the millions of realities of "today", the nostalgia of "yesterday" and the blurred image of "tomorrow".

 

Anna Mine Stallone is a visual artist, born and brought up mixed-race in Nagasaki, Japan. She utilizes biodegradable materials to create interactive art pieces, aiming to evoke buried memories in the subconscious. Her art practice explores creating a peaceful and healing space akin to the sensation of floating on the sea, where individuals can reconnect with their past and find comfort in the present.

Anna’s Stallone’s Einzelausstellung, “Wenn ich eine Katze wäre“, inspiriert sich von der buddhistischen Philosophie Reinkarnation. Die Ausstellung präsentiert handgenähte, weiche Skulpturen, die die Reise unserer Seelen vor und nach dem Leben abbilden. Der bei den Skulpturen genutzte Baumwollstoff wurde mit pflanzlichen und Bengara- Farben koloriert. Diese weichen Skulpturen sind aus natürlichen Materialien geschaffen, welche am Ende ihres Lebens kompostiert werden können, um in die Natur zurückzukehren.

Das Projekt ist eine spannende Reise durch die Millionen von Realitäten des „Heutes“, die Nostalgie des „Gestern“ und das verschwommene Bild des „Morgens“.

 

Anna Mine Stallone ist eine visuelle Künstlerin. Sie wurde in Nagasaki, Japan geboren und wurde multikulturell erzogen. Sie nutzt biologisch abbaubare Materialien sowohl um “interaktive” Kunstwerke zu kreieren, als auch um begrabene Erinnerungen in unserem Unterbewusstsein zu erwecken. Ihre Kunstpraxis erforscht einen Raum, indem die Personen sich mit ihrer Vergangenheit in Verbindung setzen und sich in der Gegenwart wohl fühlen. Ähnlich wie das Gefühl „auf dem Meer zu schweben“, zielt dieser Raum auf ein friedliches und heilsames Erlebnis.
